A variety that surpasses all others. By nature, it has a unique and different coffee DNA - Geisha. Using a specific processing method, Roberto has produced a truly elegant and complex lot that impresses with its floral aroma, exotic fruit sweetness and structured acidity. By combining two methods of honey processing, he created a blend that leaves you in no doubt and fulfills all the expectations that this variety raises. The result is 16th place in the Costa Rica Cup of Excellence 2022 national competition with 87.74 points.

With almost 50 years of experience in coffee production, a strong bond with nature and a love for his homeland, Roberto Mata is a pioneer in sustainable coffee cultivation in Costa Rica. He also likes to experiment with new types of processing to create an even more exciting product and contribute to the development of the industry.

Las Nubes, or 'the clouds', is the highest of the set of farms owned by Robert Mata and his son Michael. Coffee trees grow here at a height of up to 1850 m.a.s.l. on the steep slopes of two valleys - Santa Maria and Dota, where the Mata family grows coffee of different varieties, such as Caturra, Catuaí, SL28 and Geisha.
