Finca Betania belongs to an association of coffee producers, called “Cafe Origen Palestina”. They were founded in 2015 as an association of coffee producer families and are located in Huila. Their special focus is the production of high quality specialty coffees, with traditional practices and no added chemicals. Varietals they grow are Pink Bourbon, Geisha and Tabi. Finca Betania is owned by Linarco and Maria Eugenio Rodriguez, who have participated in several Cup of Excellence events with their coffees. The process of the Washed Tabi starts with the harvest of
rpiest cherries which are floated to remove any defective fruits and other foreign matter. Then they are depulped (without water) and left to ferment in open tanks in dry for 48 hours, after which they are washed and put in the dryer for 22 days. After that they are left to rest and stabilize in bags for another 15 days.
