Colombia Sebastián Gómez Natural

Sebastián Gómez comes from a traditional coffee family. Together with his father, he owns the 13-hectare La Divisa farm, located at an altitude of 1,700m in the Circasia area of the Quindío region. Beautiful shade trees such as guamo, guayacán, gualandai, and nogal grow on the farm.

Sebastián is a young farmer and, together with his wife, is dedicated to both coffee work and administration. His father, John, has worked in the coffee industry for over 30 years and has been managing the farm since 1995, when he purchased it. Sebastián became more involved in coffee in 2014 when he returned to Colombia. Thanks to his experience abroad, where he had the opportunity to discover the world of specialty coffee, he decided to get fully involved and focus precisely on its production. On the farm, they began to cultivate varieties such as Geisha and Pink Bourbon.

Sebastián says they knew they had to be patient and let the results of their work mature gradually. The first significant results appeared after about three years. He adds that while ten years ago the main goal was production volume, today there is a fundamental change in the coffee industry, with the emphasis primarily on quality. Therefore, they are now focusing on producing exceptional and distinct coffees, as these are what the market demands.
